Description

The Malone Nomad Standard Universal Cart is designed for kayak ground transportation. The folding anodized aluminum frame resists corrosion and fits in nearly all kayak hatches. The rugged 10” pneumatic tires are built for all ground surfaces and quickly pop off the frame for easy storage. When loading, the oversized padding on the frame protects the boat, while the locking kick stand keeps the cart steady. This cart has a 150 pound capacity and includes tie down straps.

Purchased this cart for moving a Wilderness System Commander Kayak. The Kayak has a tri hull design which the cart would not work with. A simple modification was done with 2 1/2 inch foam attached to the existing resting area and it works fine. Have to use two tie downs placed at rear to keep from slipping. I cannot close it but this would have been a problem with any cart due to the design of the boat. Satisfied with the construction and price.

This little cart is terrific. Folds easily and tires pop on and off in seconds for storage in the hatch. Worked in deep sand too loaded with a 50# kayak.

This is the best for its cost and class regarding lightweight, center balanced cartage for a kayak.
Be sure to fill the tires when it arrives however. Because the poly-rubber is stiff, you may not notice that there's no air in the tires until after you've used it. Now it works even better! especially through heavy sand.

Overpacked boat (over 100 lbs) had to use cart over sever portages. Tires are good and cart helped make portage in 1 trip, though it was slow. Cart gets out of alignment on rocks and has to be readusted, tried to think of a way around the problem (bolting or glueing the cart to the bottom didn't seem practical)
