This is a good hitch hauler at a great price. Assembly was mostly easy, however there were a couple of holes that didn't quite line up properly, nothing a little grinding with the dremmel wasn't able to fix. While it is a little annoying to have to fix small manufacturing errors like that, for the price of this unit, vs the prices of every other one I'd been able to find I'm still very happy with it.
As far as function goes, my parents have used it several times and are very pleased with it. My mothers powerchair loads easily and the rack has plenty of tie down points available. It even includes pre-drilled holes for mounting your license plate to since the chair will likely obscure it.

I found the carrier and ramp was to light at the hitch part will have to redo that part with heavier iron.

Poor packaging and construction. Item came damaged with box torn open, no instructions. Luckily I'm mechanically inclined, banged out the dents, and figured out assembly via the web pictures. Poor construction; broke weld upon assembly of deck to carry bar. A lot of tipping and flex. Since it's not worth the cost to ship back, I will likely spend an afternoon with the welder "reinforcing" the unit. I question its ability to carry the specified load. Price is tempting but do yourself a favor and spend some more money on a decent one. I'm mad at myself for not doing the same!!

This mobility carrier works great when used with a class 3 hitch welded to the back and the mobility hitch needs to be cut shorter so that the carrier is closer to the vehicle. Even though we thought initially that we would need another leaf spring, the carrier works now that it has been shortened. The cost is well worth it to save money. Now I can finally get out in the world !!

Didn't come with directions to put together and no way to keep it from looking like it was sagging when it was loaded. Ended up puting the chair in back of blazer with ramps and using carrier to haul luggage.

Pretty good quality but needed some modifications to work for me. Ended up flipping the platform and welding it on to the bar permanantly so that it would not sag and hit the road as I drive. So I have lost the capability to fold the platform up. But at least it works right for me now.

I was in a car accident December of 2010. It busted the bones in my right leg and I needed/wanted some independence. My husband had the ramp installed on our Tuscon. It caused the back of the suv to almost drag to the ground. The ramp would be on the ground with the chair. If you look closely to the picture provided by the seller you can see what I am talking about. You may have better luck if you have a large truck. But then, if you are like me what is the point because you would not be able to get in and out of the vehicle.
It is difficult to rate this product on usability alone. The construction seems sound but the weight is very heavy and we are unable to use the ramp. Since I am unable to use it for the Tuscon (which is what it was purchased for)I am rating it low for that reason.

The product it self was alright. But, they failed to send any directions with it. It had several parts and it would have been nice to have them. I called the company and was told this happens often. Why not fix the problem?? They e-mailed me directions which I was unable to download without other software. I finnaly give up and put it together myself without the directions. After a few pieces put on wrong I did get it together. Even with the assemby problems, it took me less time to put together than calling company and trying to download directions. I don't understand in todays world why if a company has a problem like this, and it happens often, why not put an end to it, especially when it would be so easy.

We have been using this carrier with our son's 45 lb wheelchair for a few weeks now. We have probably driven with the chair on it less than 10 times. The carrier has bent so much that it drags on the pavement when driving over even a small bump. We assembled and installed it according to the instructions, and we have not used it for anything other than the 45 lb pediatric manual chair. We have only driven on fairly smooth, paved, city roads. After two weeks of use, it is completely unusable. The price is low, but it was not worth even the low price. Do NOT buy this!

when it arrived it was bent in two places,but could live with that for the price.went to put on my car and loaded the power wheelchair on it and it drag the ground.could not use it had to take to machice shop and spend $100.00 more on it to use it ,had to be raised 8 inches to work.buyer beware needed 4 wheel drive or suv to use and then ramp to short.
